For the second year in a row, Middleton Area Historical Society will host the Bingo tent at the Good Neighbor Fest, August 28-30. The tent is being sponsored by Dupaco Credit Union. Hours are: Friday, 6-9 p.m. Saturday, 1-4 pm Saturday, 6-9 pm Sunday 1:30 - 4:30 pm To play, participants purchase tickets for $1 per game, and will receive a bingo card when they hand a ticket to the table runner. Join Mike Davis on Saturday, August 15 from 10 -11:45 a.m. for a leisurely stroll through downtown Middleton. It's a chance to learn about Middleton history and appreciate the buildings from Middleton's past. Meet on the porch of the museum at 10 am. If it's raining, Mike can give his talk on the porch.

On June 19, 1900, at 6:30 pm, Hoffman’s grist mill on the south side of Elmwood Ave., went up in flames. The fire quickly spread and destroyed a large part of downtown Middleton on Hubbard Ave. and Parmenter St. and burned about 19 buildings and 12 barns/outbuildings.
