Discover Middleton's  History

The Middleton Area Historical Society operates the Rowley House Museum on Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings from April to October.  Middleton's history is on display at the Rowley House Museum, but the Middleton Area Historical Society is active throughout the year.

If you are a teacher interested in touring the museum with your class during the school year, or would like to have a board member present a talk about Middleton history at your organization's event, please reach out to us year-round.

If you are interested in a photo or document that you have found on Recollection Wisconsin, please email us for permission to use our images and files.

In 1902 the telephone company purchased a new standard switchboard and pool terminal. This switchboard was placed in an upstairs room of the Wienberg-Schroeder Building, which was also the building that housed the post office.
